Shaggy Checked Rug

Shaggy Checked: A patterned version of Shaggy, one of LAYERED’s earliest and most classic rug designs. Here, checks are drawn into the wool through a cut and loop technique worked by hand. Soft, open pile meets tighter loops in twisted yarn, so the pattern shows in texture as much as in color. Like the original, it follows a 2,000-year-old Greek tradition where the wool is washed in waterfalls, giving each rug a lively and natural expression. Made of 100% New Zealand wool, known for staying soft and resilient over time.

Please note: Colors may appear different depending on lighting and surrounding environment.

Cleaning:
Wool is valued for its natural resilience and ability to maintain its shape over time. Regular vacuuming without a brush helps preserve its softness and longevity. For a deeper clean, professional flat washing is recommended. As a natural material, the rug may shed slightly initially, but this diminishes gradually.
