Piet Collection: A study in geometric precision and rich materiality. Defined by a distinct checkered pattern, each piece is meticulously hand-knotted using 100% New Zealand wool on a durable cotton foundation. With a generous 16-18mm pile height, Piet bridges the relaxed volume of a traditional rya with the dense structure of a solid wool rug, bringing architectural rhythm and tactile warmth to the modern interior.
Each knot is tied around the warp and cut by hand. The weavers in Bhadohi, India, follow the grid row by row, so the geometry holds across the full surface. New Zealand wool has a long fibre and a high natural lanolin content. It springs back under weight and repels dirt. It takes dye deeply, so the color stays saturated over time.
