Heymat

Heymat began in northern Norway, where husband and wife Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian ran a family business cleaning and renting industrial mats through three generations. Facing their own busy, weather-beaten entryway, the couple wondered why a mat that worked so well had to look so plain. Heymat launched its first collection in 2016, pairing that industrial-grade know-how with real design.

The name plays on the Norwegian word for "return home," and every mat lives up to it. Made from recycled PET with a non-slip rubber backing, Heymat's designs come from collaborations with leading Norwegian designers, patterns inspired by snow, moss, and moving water, built to trap dirt and hold up to wear without giving up on style.
