101 Copenhagen

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Tommy Hyldahl and Kristian Sofus Hansen, with architect Nicolaj Nøddesbo rounding out the design team. Hyldahl came from years in fashion forecasting, Hansen from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and time spent living in Japan, and together they built a brand at the meeting point of two design traditions: Scandinavian restraint and Japanese minimalism.

That East-meets-North sensibility runs through the whole collection. Vases, lighting, and furniture favor organic shapes, refined textures, and a muted, earthy palette, each piece designed in-house and made by hand with skilled artisans rather than mass-produced. The result is a catalog built for longevity, sculptural enough to stand on its own, functional enough to live with every day.
