For persistent dirt, natural soap shavings without added chemicals can be added to the warm water. However, this will not remove marks or stains that have penetrated the surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaintenance\u003cbr\u003eFor the care and maintenance of the surface, it is recommended to use a stone oil. Fredericia recommends using Leather Masters stone oil, which is a transparent oil. The kerosene helps to saturate the surface and makes it more resistant to dirt and grime.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePrior to applying the oil, clean the surface and remove dirt with a soft cloth that’s been dampened with warm water and wrung out. if necessary, add natural soap shavings to the warm water. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying the oil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShake the bottle of stone oil, then apply the oil on a soft sponge. Spread the oil over the entire surface as well as the edges using light circular motions. Let the surface dry for at least 15 minutes. Finally, wipe off any excess oil with a dry cloth. In order for the oil to properly penetrate the surface, wait 24 hours before using the surface.
