His son Helge grew up as his apprentice, took over the business, and by the 1950s and '60s was running a factory of more than 120 craftsmen, working with designer Arne Vodder to produce some of the most recognized furniture of the Danish Modern era, including the Sibast No. 7 and No. 8 chairs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eThe company left the family's hands after Helge's death in 1985, until his grandson Ditlev Sibast and his wife Anna rediscovered the original No. 8 drawings in 2013 and relaunched the brand. Now run by the fourth generation, Sibast still builds every piece in Denmark with the same standard Helge set: solid wood, exacting joinery, and forms built to outlast trends.
